Commis Chef

The Role:

  • Responsible for the Dunbar food offering as directed by the Dunbar Chef in-charge, to plan, prepare, monitor the quality of food and ensure consistency in offering a high standard of cuisine to The Lensbury guests, to include private dining, producing à la carte menus, set menus, and occasional event menus in all areas, consistently delivered to a 2 AA rosette standard
  • Work alongside the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure a consistent standard of food is delivered in the Dunbar
  • Assist the Executive Chef in devising the menus, costing, documenting and implementing standards in the Dunbar and across the operation as maybe required to meet the needs of all The Lensbury guests

The Candidate:

  • The Commis Chef will ideally be qualified to or working towards NVQ level 2 (or equivalent)
  • Able to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • Have a passion to learn and develop skills across all areas of the kitchen
  • Will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety are maintained at all times

Terms & Conditions:

  • 39 hours per week on a 5 over 7 shift rota basis including evenings & weekends
  • Paid annual leave of 20 days plus Bank Holiday entitlement (8 Days)
