Take a look at our Coronavirus measures before visiting

The health and wellbeing of our members, guests and employees is our top priority, so we have put in place the following measures in line with Government and Public Health England advice to help keep you safe when visiting The Lensbury. We have been awarded the 'Good to Go' accreditation by Visit England

Overview

1. Social Distancing arrow-down

Implementing a social distancing policy throughout The Lensbury through the use of floor stickers, directional (one-way) signage and dedicated distancing managers.

2. Staff Training arrow-down

All team members will be given COVID-19 training from leading hospitality training provider, FLOW which will include new policies and procedures, cleaning standards and COVID awareness.

3. Cleaning arrow-down

Thorough and regular cleaning protocols, including the use of new electrostatic machines (as used in NHS settings) to effectively and thoroughly apply our disinfectant which is effective in killing COVID-19 on hard surfaces. There is a particular focus on high-touch and communal areas.

4. Hygiene arrow-down

All team members will practice good hygiene and will wear PPE as required. Hygiene stations and supplies will be provided for guests and members alongside hygiene guidance.

5. Reconfigured Spaces arrow-down

Where possible our spaces have been reconfigured to make social distancing easier including: one-way walkways, Perspex screens, moving of equipment/furniture and the removal of selected items to reduce touch contamination. Some communal areas may remain closed during this time.

6. Communication arrow-down

Clear signage, information and communication before and whilst visiting The Lensbury to encourage all to act in accordance with our guidelines without detracting from the enjoyment of visiting The Lensbury.

7. Processes arrow-down

Our processes may be a little different with revised welcome check-in/check-out procedures, and new food and drink service protocols, but our same friendly hospitality remains.

8. Health arrow-down

We politely ask that any employees or guests who are showing symptoms, have been unwell in the last 14 days or been in contact with anyone with COVID-19, postpone their visit.

Digital temperature checks will be carried out on arrival.

9. Auditing arrow-down

We will be audited independently by Food Alert/H&S to ensure our kitchen and food production, social distancing protocols, front of house controls and staff wellbeing all meet and exceed ‘COVID secure’ guidelines.

10. Air arrow-down

We will be increasing the levels of fresh air into our buildings through the opening of doors and windows where possible and the increase in introduction of fresh air via our ventilation systems.

11. Tracing arrow-down

We strongly advise that where available all staff and guests download the Government recommended track and tracing App to ensure we are all alerted of any person who may spread COVID-19.

12. Outside Space arrow-down

Where possible and where the weather allows, more of our operations and activities will take place outside in our gardens and grounds on the banks of the River Thames.

Hotel Guests

1. Pre-arrival arrow-down

Where possible, book in advance online or via telephone.

We will be in touch prior to your arrival to request additional information to shorten the check-in process, as well as informing you of our latest COVID-19 measures.

If required, we recommend you pre-book any dining with us to ensure we have availability in our socially distanced Lounge Restaurant. Click here to book lunch or dinner.

We politely ask that you contact us in advance of your stay if you are displaying symptoms, have been unwell in last 14 days or have been in touch with someone who has had COVID-19 to rearrange your visit.

2. Arrival and Check-In arrow-down

Upon arrival please observe a safe social distance, our directional signage, floor stickers and informative posters.

We have installed Perspex screens at our reception desk to help protect you and our team members.

Hygiene stations have been positioned throughout the hotel. We politely ask that all guests use these on arrival.

We will be carrying out digital temperature checks on arrival and politely ask anyone with a high temperature to reschedule their visit.

Our check-in process has been streamlined to allow for a quicker check-in process. Payment is to be made by card only.

3. Your Room arrow-down

Each bedroom, bathroom and all surfaces will be sanitised before your stay using electrostatic sprayers which are effective at thoroughly applying our disinfectant which is effective in killing COVID-19.

Linen and towels are washed at a high temperature with sanitiser.

We have removed non-essential items from our rooms, but these will be made available on request.

Our housekeeping team have undergone additional training on cleaning practices and will wear PPE to avoid contamination.

The servicing of rooms by our housekeeping team during your stay is by prior request only.

4. Communal Areas arrow-down

Please observe a safe social distance at all times when in communal areas.

We recommend that you only use our lift if you need to and that it is used one person or household at a time.

Hygiene stations are located throughout the hotel, please do use these regularly.

Some of our communal areas may be closed, but we have reconfigured many of our spaces to allow for social distancing, including moving furniture and the creation of one-way walk ways. Please follow instructional signage at all times.

Our communal areas are cleaned regularly and thoroughly, with a particular focus on high-touch areas. Electrostatic sprayers are used to effectively spray disinfectant to kill COVID-19 on hard surfaces.

5. Food, Drink and Services arrow-down

We are offering a ‘grab and g0’ breakfast bag which will be available to collect from Reception each morning and has been prepared with safety in mind.

Our Lounge Restaurant and Terrace are open for lunch and dinner with socially distanced seating and these spaces must be pre-booked in advance. You can book a table for lunch and dinner by clicking here.

Our kitchen and service teams have undergone additional COVID-19 training to ensure they are following all food preparation and service procedure to minimise risk, as well as wearing relevant PPE.

 

6. Check-out arrow-down

Our check-out can be contact free for a quick and safe departure – simply drop your room key in the box at our reception.

For those wishing to say goodbye to our team on departure, our reception area has been reconfigured with Perspex screens and social distancing in place to ensure your safety and the safety of our team.

Our team will collate any outstanding charges and will charge the credit or debit card on file, sending you a digital copy of the receipt by email.

We recommend you use the hygiene station and hand sanitiser provided on departure.
