About Us

The Lensbury, situated by Teddington Lock, is a four-star Hotel and Conference Centre, hosting conferences and special events, including weddings and private parties. The Lensbury is also a well-regarded premium leisure club with a swimming pool, gym and studio classes.

The Role

§ To build effective rapport and relationships with our members in order to achieve their individual goals.
§ To carry out gym inductions to the recognised company standards and design training programmes for our members.
§ To teach and demonstrate safe and effective exercises.
§ To ensure correct use and storage of all machinery and equipment in fitness suite and studios.
§ To undertake general maintenance and cleaning of equipment in fitness suite and studios.
§ To ensure faults are reported immediately and equipment taken out of action if required.
§ To engage with customers of all ages and abilities through good interaction and encouragement to ensure the on-going use of our facilities.
§ To maintain vigilant supervision of the gym users and ensure their safety at all times.
§ To ensure that the etiquette fostered in the gym reflects the importance of safety and consideration for others at all times.
§ To attend Fitness Team meetings as required.
§ To support and promote any customer retention initiatives introduced.
§ To carry out other such duties as are required by the Fitness and Studio Manager which are reasonably incidental to the main purpose of the job.

Who are we looking for:

§ Minimum Fitness Instructor Level 2 or equivalent qualification essential
§ CIMSPA endorsed qualifications essential
§ Experience in the Leisure and Fitness industry
§ Flexible and willing to assist in all areas of the complex, when required
§ Excellent customer service skills with friendly, approachable personality
§ First Aid Qualification desirable, but not essential
§ Proven experience in exercise classes an advantage
