Safeguarding Policy
The Lensbury is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk. We work to ensure everyone who visits, participates in activities or uses our facilities enjoys a safe and welcoming environment.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility across the club. Members, guests, parents, coaches, staff and volunteers all play a part in promoting wellbeing and protecting those in our care. Our safeguarding resources include welfare officer information, child protection guidance, safeguarding policies for children and adults, equality and diversity guidance, and online safety policies.

Sustainability
The Lensbury's riverside setting guides our commitment to sustainability. We continue to invest in initiatives that reduce environmental impact while supporting our local community and surrounding environment.
Key initiatives include:
- 100% renewable electricity sourced through the REGO programme
- 76% of waste recycled in 2024, diverting 224 tonnes of waste from landfill
- Eco-friendly cleaning products that reduce packaging waste by 70%
- Four on-site beehives supporting biodiversity and producing over 150 jars of honey each year
- Water-saving initiatives that helped conserve an estimated 122,000 litres of water in 2024
Our Eco Council helps drive sustainable practices across the business, while our environmental policies focus on responsible resource management, biodiversity, energy efficiency, waste reduction and long-term environmental stewardship.
