Clubhouse Restaurant & Bar Renovations FAQs

A full renovation of The Lensbury’s Club House Restaurant and Bar is now underway, bringing new life to one of our most cherished spaces. Discover responses to frequently asked questions about this transformation below.

Renovations

When will the Restaurant and Bar refurbishment begin? arrow-down

The anticipated start date of the project is Monday 9th March 2026.

How long will the Restaurant and Bar refurbishment take? arrow-down

We anticipate that the restaurant and bar refurbishment will take approximately 3 months, with an estimated completion in early summer 2026.

What areas does the refurbishment cover? arrow-down

The hotel reception area and main clubhouse restaurant and bar will be refurbished, including the conservatory, top lounge and bar area.

Will breakfast and dinner be available during the Restaurant and Bar refurbishment? arrow-down

Yes, breakfast and dinner will be available as usual throughout the restaurant and bar renovation and will be served in the Dunbar (subject to pre-booking) during this period.

What will the new Restaurant and Bar look like? arrow-down

The final plans are still being refined, but the style will be made to complement the design in the Dunbar Members’ Lounge. More details to follow.

What time will The Dunbar be open during this time? arrow-down

The Dunbar will have extended opening hours during the renovation period, which will include extended hours to offer dinner and bar service to both members and hotel guests.

Breakfast will be served between 7am-10am (9:30am last seating) every day.

Dinner will be served between 6pm-10pm (9:30pm last seating) every day, subject to pre-booking.

Between the hours of 10am and 6pm, the Dunbar will be exclusive to members.

Will members be able to use the space during this time? arrow-down

Yes. At breakfast, there will be reserved seating for members only, and the usual counter service will continue to operate as normal. Dinner will remain open to everyone, subject to pre-booking.

I am concerned that hotel guests are using a members-only space arrow-down

Whilst we make the improvements across our food and drink areas, we are allowing limited access for hotel guests. Access to the Dunbar will be limited to hotel guests for breakfast and dinner in order to minimise the impact of this to these times of the day.

Can members eat the hotel breakfast? Do they need to book this?  arrow-down

Members are welcome to enjoy the hotel breakfast. To guarantee availability, we recommend booking in advance, especially during busy periods. Members will receive a 10% discount off the standard breakfast price.

Will hotel guests benefit from Members' discounted prices?  arrow-down

No. Hotel guests will pay the standard hotel breakfast price and advertised evening meal price. Members will receive a 10% discount off both.

Coffee prices will be sold at the advertised price on the display board.

I would like to provide feedback on the refurbishment plans, how do I do this? arrow-down

Please use this form to provide feedback or ask us a question about the renovation.

Where can I play bridge? arrow-down

Members will be able to continue playing social bridge in the conference room. However, casual bridge playing in the Restaurant will be paused during refurbishment.

Further details will be shared regarding the location for bridge following the completion of the renovation.

Will there be extra space for co-working during this time? arrow-down

Members will be able to co-work in the provided co-working areas and the Dunbar between 10am – 6pm in the workers table provided, but please note that meetings and calls are not allowed in the Dunbar.

Where can groups of members who have regular lunch meet ups, meet during the period? arrow-down

Members can continue to meet for lunch in the Dunbar Lounge, which will be open exclusively to members between 10am and 6pm.

What is the policy for groups in the Dunbar during the refurbishment? arrow-down

Reservations are only available for dinner, with limited availability. All group tables have to be pre-booked via our website here.

Will you be showing live sport during the renovation? arrow-down

Yes, but live viewings will only be available in meeting rooms and only for selected sporting events. These will be advertised in the What’s On page here.

Is the hotel reception area being refurbished at the same time? arrow-down

Hotel reception refurbishment will also take place sometime during these renovations. During that time, members will be required to enter via Members’ Reception while hotel guests will enter through the Conference Centre’s entrance.
