Support Our Charity of The Year
At The Lensbury, we’re all about supporting local causes. That’s why every year we ask our members to pick a charity that is dear to them, and then organise a series of events over the coming months to help fundraise for that cause.
Back in January, we ran our survey and Ruils was named as the charity of 2025. After hosting Q&As, offering a tour of our gardens, taking part in a Dragon Boat race, and a Thames path walking challenge, it’s time for the next event in support of this good cause.
What does Ruils do?
A pillar in the local community, Ruils supports people of all ages with disabilities and long-term health conditions. They provide advice, advocacy and practical services to help their clients live independently, enhancing their quality of life.
The next Ruils charity event
One of the key fundraising events this year is the Ruils Zip Wire Challenge 2025, taking place on Sunday 19th October at Twickenham Stadium. Participants will soar 150 metres across the iconic stadium, suspended 30 metres above the ground, in a thrilling zipline experience. Two of our most daring Lensbury members, Jack and Sam, are also taking part in the challenge!
Whether you’re a rugby fan, an adrenaline junkie, or simply passionate about supporting local causes, this event offers a unique way to get involved. You’re still in time to offer your support and help us reach Ruils’ target.
