We are committed to supporting the local community and causes that are close to our members’ hearts and are delighted to announce that The Lensbury’s ‘Charity of the Year’ is The Friends Of Teddington Memorial Hospital (TMH)!
A pillar in the local community, The Friends of TMH supports the staff and patients of Teddington Memorial Hospital by enabling and enhancing the quality of the services and facilities above the NHS-funded baseline – ensuring the long-term future of the hospital.
Friends of TMH Marketing and Communications Manager, Christine Southern commented on the announcement: “We are delighted to have been chosen as The Lensbury’s Charity of the Year for 2023. It is fantastic that so many members voted for us. We look forward to partnering with The Lensbury to raise valuable funds for vital projects supporting the staff and patients of Teddington Memorial Hospital for the lasting good of our community.”
The Lensbury looks forward to supporting this fantastic local cause in 2023 through a range of staff and member fundraising, support initiatives and community awareness.
Our support will help fundraising for the following projects; refurbishment of the waiting area for relatives of patients to provide a more comfortable space, a makeover of their Wellbeing Garden to create a much-needed wellbeing haven, and other project based initiatives including specialist medical equipment to support the community that is not funded by the NHS.
