Claire leads The Lensbury team and steers the strategic vision for the club and resort, bringing an abundance of experience in leisure club management gained over the last decade.
Tell us an interesting fact that most people don’t know about you…
I was invited for tea with the Queen Mother.... and race ridden an ostrich!
When he is not busy playing football, Philip manages the accounting team ensuring all financial aspects of the company's strategy are operating effectively.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A Lonely Planet reporter.
Sam oversees and manages the commercial and sales teams in order to achieve the business objectives across all areas of the business. In addition, Sam heads up the development of effective internal and external communication strategies.
What is your favourite sport?
Cycling, I cycled London to Paris in 2019.
Kathryn is responsible for finding all the talented people working at The Lensbury and making sure they feel happy and supported long beyond their start date.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Time travel. Imagine walking with dinosaurs or having lunch with cave men?!
David leads all the departments that form our premium leisure club to ensure all aspects of our club operate smoothly and productively. David also handles regular members' feedback to meet the outstanding member experience standards we strive for by offering a diverse and exciting portfolio of events at our club.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
The power to heal.
Noel manages the reservations department ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all reservations, group bookings, hotel related enquiries and special requests.
Which athlete would you invite to your dinner party?
Ian Botham.
Joanna and her busy team are the magicians behind your immaculate bedroom, the fresh clean towels and all those extra services that make your stay more comfortable.
What do you enjoy most about your role at The Lensbury?
Early morning calmness, listening to the birds singing whilst completing the early shift.
Manuel is always on hand to greet our customers and provide a pleasant dining experience for all. He takes care of the restaurant, bar and table service to ensure all areas are maintained to optimum standards.
What do you enjoy most about your role at The Lensbury?
Customer service is my passion! I love making customers happy with food and drinks and learning more about their stories – I learn something new every day.
Leon keeps busy making sure our members get the most out of their fitness by offering a wide range of exercise classes, motivational fitness events, and bespoke personal training sessions.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
When I was younger, I wanted to be a Power Ranger and fight the bad guys. Of course, I have matured since then. Now I want to be Spiderman!
Lauren is responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Spa including our range of treatments, calm, peaceful ambience and The Spa's beautiful flower wall!
Tell us an interesting fact that most people don’t know about you…
I used to work at a Safari Park and helped raise a baby cheetah.
Mark makes sure our state-of-the-art fitness facilities are running smoothly and efficiently for all our members and guests to enjoy.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
The ability to turn water into unoaked Chardonnay!
Callum is responsible for the delivery of our high-quality watersports sessions, equipment maintenance and safety and making sure everyone has fun on the water!

In addition to watersports qualifications, I’m also a fully qualified level 2 ski instructor.
Meet Matt, who looks after all things tennis and squash including our popular tennis coaching programme, camps and tournaments.
What do you enjoy most about your role at The Lensbury?
Interaction with all of the tennis members and seeing the juniors on the tennis programme starting their tennis journey.
Peter and the incredible gardens and grounds team are the artists nurturing our beautiful 25 acres of green landscapes with passion and dedication.

I was once flown to America to talk about grass tennis courts...
Donna is our extremely knowledgeable meeting & events sales manager, leading the team to deliver customers' ideal corporate or elite sport package meeting each individual requirement.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A dolphin trainer!
Helen looks after our corporate client relationships by making sure they are consistently kept informed of our latest news and seasonal offerings to meet company needs - as well as attending regular industry events including conferences and trade fairs.
Which athlete would you invite to your dinner party?
Ellen MacArthur.
Ros has over 20 years experience coordinating beautiful weddings at The Lensbury and will be by your side throughout your journey to make your special day perfect.
Tell us an interesting fact that most people don’t know about you…
My father was the boatman at The Lensbury for over 25 years and I lived on site.
James is a our dedicated facilities manager who fills the important role of ensuring our buildings and grounds are well-maintained and security, inspections, refurbishments, electricity and parking meet the highest industry standards whilst operating sustainably.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A pilot!
Zandr is our tech guru working hard make sure everyone is working hard! He is the friendly face assisting our team members, members, guests and corporate delegates to ensure they are equipped with the right technical equipment at all times.
