The Role
The Senior Fitness Instructor is responsible supporting the day-to-day operations of the Fitness & Personal Training team, ensuring they consistently exceed the expectations of members and guests.
You will also support the Fitness & Studio Manager in developing and implementing our fitness strategy and in recruiting, developing, motivating and retaining high performing team members, who all strive to inspire people to lead an active lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
· Work closely with the Fitness and Studio Manager on all expects of the fitness product across the Resort
· Help to create an environment where all team members are encouraged to both enjoy themselves at work and make a real contribution to the success of the business as a whole
· Be fully involved in the creation of a fun and lively atmosphere
· Follow the company H&S policies and ensure necessary duties carried out
· Respond to emergency situations and injuries as appropriate
· Carry out other reasonable duties, participate in special projects and attend meetings as required
Management and leadership
· Compile and provide weekly & monthly reporting
· Ensure defined daily activity levels are set to achieve monthly Fitness targets.
· Ensure established system procedures are followed and administrative processes are updated as required
· Further develop, implement and manage Fitness strategy, working closely with the Fitness and Studio Manager to provide input to budgets and produce timely reporting
· Ensure the gym floor rota and Trainers doing guaranteed hours on the gym floor are planned and deployed, within cost budgets, effectively, to deliver success in the following areas: Gym floor Brand Standards
Personal Training and Administration
· Ensure pre-determined monthly PT session delivery and profit margin targets are achieved
· Look for new and innovative ways to grow PT session delivery
Trainer journey and education
· Track and manage all trainers’ session delivery, behaviours and attitude to support them in their progression
· Ensure the team receive thorough club and team induction and are fully competent prior to servicing members and/or prospects
Personal Training delivery
· Design exercise programs that are safe, effective, promote compliance and member satisfaction
· Demonstrate and instruct the correct technique for use of all equipment and non-equipment-based exercises
What we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values:
· CIMSPA accredited Personal Training L3
· Current Senior First Aid certificate and CPR/AED certification desirable
· Must satisfy Working with Children Background Check (if in a family club)
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
· Teamwork and cooperation
