We would like to thank members for their engagement with the new membership system. We are pleased to see so many of you are up and running on the new system and app. For those who have not managed to activate their account yet, or are struggling with the steps shown, please do come to see us. It may be helpful to know that if you are on the new system, you will be able to open the digital membership card (at bottom of home page on The Lensbury Club App). It should look like the image below. If it doesn’t, please come to see us.

Feedback

Thank you for the constructive feedback that we have received on many aspects of the system. We are continuing to work through this with the development team for the new system (OpenPlay) and look forward to future improvements. We are very much in phase one of our journey with them, and we will share developments as they come online.

With regard to some common themes expressed in the feedback, we would like to update you on the following:

    • Speed – We are working with OpenPlay to review the speed of the system, particularly at the 8am peak period.
    • Email Confirmations – Whilst many appreciate receiving email confirmations of bookings made, we realise this is not the case for everyone! We are exploring the possibility for email notifications to be turned off by individual users as they prefer.
    • Terminology – Please note when a class shows as ‘Not Available’ this means the session is either full, or you are the wrong age for the class in question (ie for children’s activities).
    • Waiting List Process – We are working with OpenPlay to simplify the Waiting List process. Whilst making class spaces available to a wider group of people has been well received, we recognise that the steps required to move from the Waiting List to booking a class could be improved.
    • Access Control – Club entry via a QR code is appreciated by many, but this could be faster. In the next couple of weeks adult members will be able to access the club using their digital membership card at the barriers. This will speed up this process.
    • Addition of Class to Calendar – Please note classes may be added to your calendar from the confirmation email (steps TBC)
