What’s Happening

We are delighted to be starting the New Year with a bang as our exciting Club development commences with the creation of a stunning new Members-only Lounge, positioned at the very heart of your Club. This exciting project encompasses the transformation of the current Dunbar Room and an update to the Members’ Reception area, set to begin in early January.

As you step into the transformed Dunbar space, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly staff at our quick-service deli counter. Here, we will be offering an array of tempting options, from expertly-crafted Mozzo barista coffees to rejuvenating smoothies and healthy and nutritious light snacks. Whether you’re refueling after an intense workout at the Lockside gym or grabbing lunch on the way to the office, our deli counter will be here to serve your needs. Pull up a seat at our communal work tables for the perfect spot to check your emails whilst recharging your batteries.

Head deeper into the lounge to discover the cosy seating area, designed for laptop-free relaxation. Here, you can enjoy a selection of the latest magazines and newspapers or perhaps savour the picturesque views of our riverside grounds through the bi-folding doors. During the summer months, these doors will open onto steps leading to the exclusive Members’ terrace, providing you with a truly immersive experience.

Story

We’re been working on plans for the development of this space for several years, with the idea of a member-exclusive space being central to the Club’s future. Creating this space will allow us to keep you at the heart of our Club.

Our Design Director, Frances Blackhm from Trevillion, says, “The design will take inspiration from the stunning location, gardens and grounds and the rich heritage that surrounds The Lensbury.  It is our intention to create a social space at the heart of the Clubhouse with a homely feel by using natural and tactile materials with  a fresh colour palette.”

Simultaneously, development of the Members’ Reception space will creating an exciting new area which catches your eye as you enter the Club.

Benefits

This brand-new space will provide a dedicated social hub for our Members to relax, socialise or to simply pick up a pre- or post-workout snack and drink. With an open and naturally lit style, this new area is the best spot for those much-needed catch-ups with friends and family in a place you can call your ‘home away from home’. Given the choice of areas within the lounge, it’s great for adaptability and meeting a variety of your needs. Whether you’re perched at one of our communal tables reading the complimentary papers, working from the high bench or just taking in the grounds from one of the sofas, we’re sure that this is a space you’ll love.

Disruption

We do understand that the development of the Members’ Lounge and Members’ Entrance will cause some disruption in getting around the Club at times through the build. We apologise for any issues which you may encounter navigating the Club during this period. We will do our utmost to keep any inconvenience to a minimum. Rest assured that the work being carried out will be of great benefit to  all our Members.
